One person has died and three more have been injured in a crash involving a passenger vehicle and three 18-wheelers on Interstate 35 near Jarrell in Williamson County, Texas. Texas Department of Public Safety officials report that the crash happened near exit 275 on the northbound lanes of Interstate 35 around 2:18 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A 2015 Hyundai was travelling at an unsafe speed northbound on Interstate 35 when it collided with an 18-wheeler, causing the Hyundai to lose control. The Hyundai left the highway and came to rest in a grass ditch.
A second 18-wheeler swerved to avoid debris from the first crash, lost control, rolled, and caught on fire. A third 18-wheeler struck debris and caught fire, as well.
