Lubbock Motorcyclist, James Ray Daniel Jr., Dead After SUV Pulls Out in Front of Him

A lubbock motorcyclist was killed Monday around 6:30 p.m. after an SUV failed to yield right of way. James Ray Daniel Jr., 57 of Lubbock, was killed while travelling southbound on Avenue Q near 50th Street when a Lincoln Navigator pulled out of a parking lot to turn northbound on Avenue Q. The Lincoln Navigator failed to yield right of way to the motorcycle, causing the wreck. Daniel was transported to University Medical Center where he died a short time later. No one in the SUV was injured.
