Midland Man, Julian Gallardo, Killed Monday in Chemical Plant Explosion

23-year-old Julian Gallardo was killed Monday when the chemical plant at which he was working exploded. The plant is owned by Water Rescue Services, which is also Gallardo’s employer. The explosion happened just before 10:30 a.m., when an accidental chemical release caused the explosion. Gallardo was a student at UTPB. Nearby residents were evacuated out of caution.
