PRESS RELEASE: Jury Awards $262.5 Million to Odessa Man Injured by Drunk Driver

Yesterday a jury in Odessa, Texas awarded $262.5 million to an Odessa man who was severely injured by a drunk driver in June of 2021. Isaac Sanchez, who was 32 years old at the time of the incident, was rendered a quadriplegic when he was hit from behind by a drunk driver while stopped at the intersection of Yukon and Andrews Highway in Odessa, Texas.

Mr. Sanchez’s attorneys, Glasheen, Valles & Inderman Injury Lawyers of Odessa, and The Bailey Law Firm of San Angelo, together brought the lawsuit against Linx Food and Beverage, LLC dba Linx Bar & Grill for grossly overserving the drunk driver.

The evidence presented at trial revealed the drunk driver had been drinking most of the day at the Linx Bar & Grill, located at the Ratliff Ranch Golf Links in Odessa.

“The jury spoke very clearly last night when it told Linx Bar & Grill and all other bars that they need to follow the rules,” said Chad Inderman.

The trial was held in the 70th District Court of Ector County, Texas.
