Laney takes great pride in representing injured people and their families. She is committed to the pursuit of justice and handles every case with compassion and care while maintaining an edge as an aggressive litigator.
No matter the size of the case, Laney is responsive and aggressive with every case she handles. Her personal injury experience includes representing clients seriously injured in automobile and truck wrecks, slip-and-fall incidents, on-the-job injuries, trampoline park injury cases, and sexual abuse litigation.
She began clerking with the firm in May 2014. In November 2023, Laney was promoted to a Partner of GVILAW.
Laney attended University of California, Berkeley, graduating in May 2012, and attended Texas Tech University School of Law, graduating in May 2015. Laney became licensed in Texas in November 2015 and licensed in New Mexico in April 2016.
In law school, she was a member of Board of Barristers, Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, and was the Chief Ambassador of the Dean’s Student Ambassador Corps. She also participated in several competitions, taking home the National Championship in both the American Bar Association Arbitration Competition and the National Pre-Trial Competition.
