Jesus Manuel Solano, 50, died Friday morning when the cement mixer he was cleaning suddenly began turning, pinning him between the truck and the mixer. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened in the 500 block of 48th Street in Lubbock.
OSHA typically requires certain safety minimum when working around heavy equipment like cement mixer trucks, including lock-out-tag-out procedures to ensure that machinery does not become energized until it is safe to do so.
