One person has been taken to the hospital after a four-car wreck in south Ector County around 7 a.m. on Friday.
The wreck took place at the intersection of Highway 385 and E. Schirra Drive. According to officials, a semi was turning left on Highway 385 from Schirra Drive when the truck driver couldn’t see a white pickup due to the darkness and the fog.
The semi hit the pickup truck and then a grey truck which was traveling northbound on Highway 385 hit the semi’s trailer and a maroon SUV in the left lane also hit the truck and went under the semi’s trailer.
The driver of the maroon SUV was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and the driver of the semi will be ticketed for failure to yield the right-of-way.
