One Killed and Four Injured in Rollover Near Clovis, New Mexico

26-year-old Jerry Davis of Plainview was killed Sunday morning around 10 a.m. when the vehicle he was driving rolled several times. The accident happened on Highway 60/84 just east of Fort Sumner in New Mexico. Also in the vehicle were four passengers. Their conditions are listed below. The vehicle was one of several in a group returning to Lubbock after a week-long mission trip in San Diego, California. The group of 80 met with a group in San Diego to help the homeless. The group had stayed the night in Albuquerque before waking Sunday morning to finish the drive back to Lubbock.

  • Ken Choi – airlifted to UMC – critical condition
  • Genesis Guevara – airlifted to UMC – critical condition
  • Hunter Hail – taken by ambulance to a Clovis hospital
  • Alondra Guevara – taken by ambulance to a Clovis hospital, but later transferred to UMC
