Santa Fe police: Alcohol was a factor in Crash that Injured 3

According to Santa Fe police, three people suffered serious injuries in a single vehicle crash late on Monday.

The wreck took place just before 11 p.m., officials said that the vehicle went off the southbound SR 599 at a high rate of speed and rolled onto the frontage road. Three people from the vehicle were hospitalized.

Investigators said that alcohol was a factor in the crash.

SR 599 was closed from milepost 6 to Airport Road until 5 a.m.

According to the National highway Traffic safety Administration, every two minutes, a person is injured in a drunk driving crash.
