A Tri-Chem Industries chemical plant in Hood County, Texas, exploded Thursday around 9:45 a.m. One person is missing, and another is seriously injured.
The plant manufactures soap and acid. Several emergency crews from Fort Worth are also responding to the scene. Currently the smoke is blowing in a direction that is away from populated areas, so there are no evacuations in place. Responders are cautious due to the unpredictability of when the explosions will occur.
