Multi-motorcycle wreck in Las Cruces sends three to the hospital

Police responded to a multiple-motorcycle wreck on Main Street and Melendrez Street.

A spokesperson with the Las Cruces Police Department said that the driver of a motorcycle last control of their bike and caused a second motorcycle to crash into it. According to officials, the driver who lost control was airlifted to an El Paso hospital as well as the passenger of the second motorcycle. The driver of the second motorcycle was transported by ambulance to a hospital.

Police said that a contributing factor of the crash could be alcohol, but the collision is still under investigation.
